MEET YOUR PET'S VETERINARIANS
Dr. Jeff Seay
Veterinarian & Chief Medical Director

After graduating from veterinary school I completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Auburn University in 2009. I enjoy the challenge of diagnosing and treating the diverse array of cases I see on a daily basis. My favorite thing is improving the life of my patients and bringing happiness to my clients. I enjoy watching college football and my favorite team is, of course, the Georgia Bulldogs. I love spending time outdoors, boating and fishing, and spending time with my family and my dog.

I enjoy the variations in day-to-day practice, especially working Urgent Care hours. I also love solving a mystery, as well as the satisfying feeling of making things right. Many of my patients honestly would probably get better with or without me, but the ones where I KNOW I saved their life or made it significantly better make my day! I've been certified in veterinary acupuncture since 2007, and practicing acupuncture is a great example of this--it always makes me so happy to hear how much better an old, arthritic dog moves and feels after one of my acupuncture treatments.
I've been a hang glider pilot since 1999. I enjoy leading a physical life, as well as delving into the meditative side, studying tai chi, Chinese martial arts, Brazilian jiu-jistu, and yoga. I love to read...just about anything from history and biography to science fiction/fantasy to modern fiction to total chick lit. Love NY Times crossword puzzles!
I have two cats with neurological birth defects that make them pretty special, and high-maintenance, but adorable. One cat with nothing wrong with her--she's perfect. One puppy, still working on the housetraining, but she's perfect, too! One husband, still working on the housetraining. Possibly up for future adoption. Just kidding, you can't have him.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Travel, travel, travel! Also, eat. And travel.

I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and I'm glad to be in my hometown, treating dogs and cats. I enjoy emergency medicine and love being part of a practice with a thriving After Hours Urgent Care. In particular I enjoy helping my patients with wound repair and pain management. I am married with 2 daughters, 2 cats and a friendly little dog named The General who has plenty of energy and attitude! I enjoy travelling to the beach, visiting bed and breakfasts, volunteering at my daughters' school, and spending time with my family.
