Jennifer Biggs
After Hours Urgent Care Administrator

I love that this role has provided me with the opportunity to offer a service to clients and pets that was needed in our community. The unpredictability of urgent care makes it an exciting change after 20 years in the field and the varied cases present a challenge to my skills and keep me on my toes. I like cooking, yard work, and fishing. I have three dogs: Fredo, Fernando, and Ridley.

Rebecca Hogan

Client Experience Manager

I have worked in the veterinary field since 1999 and I am proud to represent Well Pets Veterinary Clinic. Our team of veterinarians and support staff are a great group of people that I am happy to call my "second family." Our clients and patients are the best and I always look forward to coming to work in the morning knowing that I am able provide a service for the people and pets in our community. I am blessed to have a job that I love.  My husband and I love to visit small craft breweries all over the state and any place we travel. I love spending my spare time at the beach and the lake, especially when I am with friends and family.

I have two dogs, Porter and Django, and two cats, Willie Phish and Moe Nelson. Django is an Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever (I had him DNA tested!) that I adopted from the Greenville Humane society when he was 6 weeks old.  He is a very smart and active dog that provides therapy for my 8 year old son. It amazes me everyday how therapeutic animals can be.

Samantha Shaw

Lead Operations Technician

I am originally from New Jersey and moved down here in the summer of 2012 for a summer job and then never left! I met my husband, a South Carolina native, in 2013 and we have grown our family with a bunch of animals! I was strictly in the horse business until I started working for Well Pets in 2014 and I have loved every moment of it! I was able to work for Urgent Care while a student at USC Aiken. After graduating with a BS in biology I became a full time employee and have worked up into the position I am in now.

I have two dogs, Ariel and Sadie. Ariel was a stray that found me a month after I moved down to SC from NJ and she has been with me ever since. She is a quirky girl that has taught  me a lot about working with nervous pets. Sadie walked right up to me out of a litter of puppies when I went looking for a surprise birthday present for my husband. She is now his loyal companion and enjoys swimming and hunting with him. I also have 3 cats, GusGus, O’Malley, and Chip which, like my dogs, found us and made our home their forever home. We also have chickens and ducks, and are currently planning to expand to other farm animals.

Heather M.
Veterinary Technician

I love being able to help the clients and their furry babies. Part of my job is following up with our clients to make sure their pets are doing well. Hearing about their progress and getting them any help they may need is a rewarding part of my job. I love my role taking care of our hospitalized patients. Whether they're here for the day or a few days, my goal is to provide them with the best nursing care.

Janet M.

Client Experience Coordinator

I've been a receptionist at Well Pets since we opened! After working in the human medical field, I found my love for animals lead me to the veterinary world. I love meeting and seeing all of the babies that come in our office and handing out treats and belly rubs. My favorite part of any given day is snuggling with a new puppy or kitten! I love crafts of all kinds but my passion is animal rescue.  I have been a volunteer/foster mom for Homeward Bound Pet Rescue for the past 4 years and always have an extra 4 legged baby to love and take care of. My personal "farm" includes my 17 yr old Maltese (Sophie), 12 yr old Bichon Frise (Charlie), 3 yr old Chihuahua (Chic), 1 1/2 yr old cat (Lilli ), 3 goats (Gunner, Gertie and Coco), a mini donkey (Shelby Jane), and 6 chickens! I can't imagine my life not being surrounded by animals!

Kristen D.

Client Experience Coordinator

The most rewarding part about my job is seeing a pet's health make a complete turn around after treatment. I love seeing a client's reaction when their pet's health turns around and that we've been part of that. I also like the opportunity to be there for clients when they have questions about their pet's health. During my free time I love being outdoors! I enjoy hiking, fishing, kayaking, and being a beach bum. Baking and painting are also a couple of other things I try to practice  whenever I can.

Jennifer D.
Surgery Veterinary Technician

I’ve been working as a veterinary technician since 1995.  After a brief 2 year hiatus from the field I am happy to return and focus my energy on my primary role as a surgery technician here at Well Pets.  I enjoy the fast paced environment that accompanies a typical surgery day and I love being hands on with the patients. My job here is very rewarding and I love that no two days are ever the same. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, whitewater kayaking, running, wakeboarding, and cycling.  I enjoy being involved with the community and I serve on the pack dog committee for the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America.  I am also a trip leader for Palmetto Paddlers and safety boater for Whitewater 101.

Sarah G.

Veterinary Assistant & Client Experience Coordinator

I love my position because I get to welcome all of our furry patients and their parents as soon as they walk through the door! I enjoy being the voice of our clinic and making sure clients get the most out of their experience here. My days consist of spending time with my daughter and fur babies, and working at my favorite clinic in Irmo! I have two FeLV positive cats that I rescued from Pawmetto Lifeline.

Heather B.

Veterinary Assistant

I love working at Well Pets because of my passion for animals and medicine. I love providing patient care and seeing them improve back to their best selves. In my spare time I love spending time with my two children, horseback riding, taking family trips to the beach and collecting vintage gaming items. I have two dogs, named Zelda and Poppy, and two cats, named Kuzco and Diddle. Kuzco was actually adopted after becoming an amputee. I received my veterinary assistant certificate and animal first aid/CPR certification from Midlands Technical College.

Caryn M.

Client Experience Coordinator

In February of 2016, I received my certificate in Veterinary Assisting through Midlands Technical College, and realized I had found my calling. I enjoy working Urgent Care, because it gives me a sense that I'm helping make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. I love making friends with all our patients! When I have spare time, I like to play violin and sing karaoke, rewatch all the Marvel movies, and hang out with my husband, Josh. We have three fur children. Paddy is a Lab/Hound mix who is too smart for his own good, and a drama llama. Luna is a Boxer mix who had a rough start to life, but now is super goofy and sweet. Hero is a gray tabby, and loves to sit on your lap and be petted...she also loves food, a lot! I look forward to serving the community and helping keep your pets healthy and happy!

Lauren R.

Content Manager & Client Experience Coordinator

I love being able to build relationships with our clients and patients alike. We get to go on many emotional journeys with them and get to know the vast personalities that make up all of our furry friends and their pet parents. Giving cookies (with the cheese!) and lots of puppy kisses make every day better! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my daughter, watching movies, and traveling on the rare occasion that I get to.  I have a chunky, 4 year old tabby named Queso. She hates the vet just as much as any other cat and is the queen of the house to say the least. Despite that she still lets my 3 year old daughter do anything in the world to her. Kyro is my 2 year old Lab/Husky mix that looks more like a Carolina Dog. He is my sweet baby boy who is terrified of most things but he loves making new friends -- 4 legged and 2 legged alike!

Donna P.

Veterinary Technician

I love the technical skills I've acquired, as well as interacting with the patients, and hopefully helping the ones that are scared or afraid to have a positive experience here. I especially love working with our feline patients. My goal is to make sure every client and patient received the individualized care they deserve. You will typically find me working emergencies and for our After Hours Urgent Care. My hobbies are photography, reading, travel, and history. I have five special - in a variety of ways - cats. I've been a technician for the majority of the past 15 years.

Megan M.

Client Experience Coordinator

After graduating high school I decided to pursue a pathway that would lead me to become a veterinary technician. I have always had a love for animals and currently I have 3 energetic dogs that love to play and take car rides! Well Pets has provided me the opportunity to step foot into the veterinary field as I gain knowledge and further my role.

The best part of my job is seeing clients and their pets through difficult situations. No one expects to have an emergency with their pet, but it is nice to know that we get to be there with them and find a solution to whatever may be going on. After going through some difficult times with my best friend, Gunner, and his journey with cancer I can say it means a lot to have a veterinary clinic that truly cares for you and your pets health.
